As noted by other recent reviewers, this version of the game does not work with Mavericks - you’ll only get a black screen, and none of the usual break-out key commands work (Command+Option+Escape, Control+F3, Command+Tab). I had to force down the Mac and restart. Gameloft does not appear to be addressing these issues or even developing this version of the game any longer (check their website for info about this Mac version of O&CO) - it should really be removed from the App Store or at least hidden from Mavericks users. I’m pursuing a refund, but am not hopeful. I would be satisfied if Apple would pursue the above (removal or hiding it from Mavericks users so they don’t suffer the same fate as the rest of us).

The game crashes within seconds when I try and run it on OSX Yosemite.

One star review because I can’t give it zero. The game will not open at all. It crashes every time. I was looking forward to playing this when I saw it was available in the Mac App Store because I really love the iOS version. I have sent in a complaint to Gameloft. If they can help me get it working, I’ll change my review, but for now it’s one star.

Wow, I wasted $7…I bought it and it crashes. You’d think they’d fix a game before posting it.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and it still crashes immediately on opening. I have contacted Gameloft and they only replied saying I did not provide enough information. I sent the entire crash report. It has been a month and I have not heard back from them. I love this game on IOS. They put this out only to steal money. Look at the average rating for proof. NO SUPPORT OFFERED.

rating one until i can migrate all my progress from the iPad to OSX based MacBook Pro… just spent 7$ and cant link my premimum account to the MacBook… BAD MARKETING

I have just puchased and downloaded this game, and now it won’t load or run! What?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!????? am I missing something?

i pay for the game but some reason it doesn’t work…..i want my money back

I was happy with the iPad version, and figured this would be awesome to have on my Mac. They got my money, but the game crashes and never loads…… The biggest piece of #$%@ I’ve downloaded for my Mac so far………..

Waste of money, can’t even open it, i just want my money back..

Hey everyone, The Mac app crashes on start. I looked in forums and support faq and there is nothing about this. Please Fix!

I have a late 2014 Macbook pro 13” retina with 8 gigs of ram and this game will not open. It keeps closing with an error report. Such a shame, I was looking forward to playing it. I want my money back. I would expect an application that is paid for to work. Went to the “Support” page, all it is is FAQs, no way (easily found) to contact them. So basically I paid $6.99 for software that won’t open and no - 0 - zero - zilch - customer support.

its always being connecting and i can’t login to the game to play

It looks like a great game and all, but whenever i download the game, it does work. It comes up with a page that says: Order and Chaos has quit unexpectedly. I have tried rebooting my mac, deleting the app and then reinstalling it and neither worked. If possible, please send me something that will help. Thanks

**UPDATE 6/18/2015** - after trying and failing for a month to get anything from Gameloft customer support, I finally received some sort of closure in their web forums. They HAVE abandoned the MAC OS X platform as well as the WINDOWS platform and the game is purely iOS, (though not officially so they may continue to collect your $$ for the app downloads). IF you have purchased this game, contact Apple support and report this APP. They will more than likely refund/credit your account, as they have done for me. Don’t get suckered into this purchase! **Original Review 5/14/2015** - So I bought this game when it first came out in 2012. I finally decided to start playing it again after buying the 5k retina iMac. Much to my shegrin, I am able to login to see my characters and actually play on my iPhone, but not on my iMac. No idea why I can’t connect because there’s nothing from the company saying “hey, we’ve abandoned this platform”, or “Hey, as of this date, we’ve been having issues and we’re working to resolve it.” Hopefully Apple looks into this and removes the game from the store if it is indeed abandoned.

DONT BUY IT!!! I PAID 7$ AND IT DOESNT EVEN WORK... I CANT EVEN OPEN THE GAME.

I played this game since it came out. ( on my ipod/iphone of course. ) and i wanted to play on the mac verison. Every time i open it, it crashes.

I downloaded this today, but could not log in. I later read that this game is not supported for mac any longer. This game needs to be removed from the store.

I’ve yet to play this game on my macbook… but as i try, it’s crashed three times now. won even open the main menu! for my iPad, it works Phenominally well! no complaints there. wishing I could play the game on my Mac, In Write this review.

I have the ios version which I like, so I thought I’d try the mac version. This version will not connect to the server; click the help button and that is an “unknown” site. Don’t know why this dead game is being sold on the app store.
